Tilesafe
RIW Tilesafe comprises of a self-adhesive, cold applied, waterproof wet floor membrane which consists of a thick rubberised waterproof layer, incorporating a woven glass fibre on one side. It has been developed for use as a shower floor membrane applied prior to the fixing of ceramic tiles, which are applied using a conventional adhesive which keys to the mesh. Water penetrations through ceramic tiles in bath/shower room, kitchens and other wet areas caused by commissioning leaks, floods, substrate movement and grout failure can lead to extensive consequential costs and much inconvenience to those involved.
