Superstructure Waterproofing
Vapour barriers are extensively used behind rainscreen and other forms of cladding in structural waterproofing systems to protect the reinforced concrete, masonry, steel and the internal environment from the water vapour trapped in the cavity.
RIW LAC has been used in structural waterproofing systems for over 90 years and is generally applied to the facing concrete and block infill to protect the structure by preventing moisture ingress into the building. Where the coating will be left exposed to UV light for a period greater than 28 days then RIW Heviseal should be used.
