Wet Room Waterproofing
Ineffective wet room waterproofing and the to failure to prevent water penetration through ceramic tiles in bath/shower rooms, kitchens and other wet areas caused by commissioning leaks, floods, substrate movement and grout failure can lead to extensive consequential costs and much inconvenience to all parties involved.
Contemporary design of apartments, accommodation, healthcare & domestic designs are incorporating wet shower rooms, which require a wet room waterproofing system to be installed behind the ceramic tiles in order to waterproof shower walls.
RIW Tilesafe, a new concept in waterproofing a wet room, is the ideal watertight solution. It has been developed specifically for use with modular constructions products such as plywood, chipboard and plasterboard.
RIW Toughseal, a two-coat liquid applied epoxy coating is also suitable for use in establishing waterproof shower walls in wet areas, where structural concrete or masonry is used to form the structure. RIW Toughseal can be blinded with our RIW Grade 1 Aggregate to receive tiles, renders or plaster finishes.
Modern day construction demands “fast track” products and RIW Tilesafe will not disappoint. Other systems, which can be messy often require a minimum drying out period before tiling can be undertaken. RIW Tilesafe can be installed in a matter of hours, allowing immediate tiling. It is ideally suited to modular fast-track construction projects as well as domestic applications.
