RIW cement based products

Cementseal

Description:

Cementseal is a two component polymer modified cementitious slurry coating for waterproofing concrete and masonry.

Typical uses:

Cementseal is used to prevent water ingress into basements, cellars and other below ground structures. It can also be used for temporary waterproofing in new construction, to protect from water ingress prior to weatherproofing of the structure.

ADVANTAGES

  • Dense matrix offers low permeability to water, even at 10 bar pressure.
  • Totally waterproof and will also resist negative water pressure.
  • Materials are pre-packaged and only require mixing on site to give a slurry, which can then be easily applied by brush, squeegee or spray.
  • Economic formulation produces 7.9 litres of slurry, from a 15 kg pack ; sufficient to treat 4m² at 2mm thickness.
  • Also gives enhanced resistance to carbonation.
  • Polymer modified to give excellent adhesion, fexibility and abrasion resistance.
  • Will readily accept flooring and other decorative finishes.
  • Environmentally friendly, water based product which will not leach harmful chemicals.
  • Non-toxic when cured.

Cementflex

Description:

Cementflex is a two component, cementitious modified, polymer rich coating with excellent adhesion to prepared concrete and masonry substrates. When mixed, it exhibits a good degree of thixotropy to enable ease of application by brush or spray techniques to give an even finish with no sagging even in vertical situations. It hydrates to form a durable, highly alkaline, permanently elastomeric coating which not only protects the concrete, or other substrates, from water penetration and carbon dioxide diffusion, but also accommodates movement in cracks. The elastomeric coating maintains its flexibility under permanent immersion and when exposed externally.

Typical uses:

Cementflex is ideally suited for waterproofing and protecting concrete and masonry structures which exhibit cracking, and where further movement is expected. Typical applications include preventing water ingress into basements, cellars and other below ground structures. The product can also be used for sealing water tanks, waterproofing of exposed or buried roofs, and as a crack isolation membrane on concrete floors or screeds.

ADVANTAGES

  • Dense matrix offers low permeability to water, even at 10 bar pressure.
  • Brush, trowel or spray applied, normally in two coats. Flooring applications are a one coat operation.
  • Tough, flexible coating which maintains its elastomeric properties even under immersed conditions to accommodate movement in cracks.
  • Good abrasion and very high resistance to freeze / thaw cycles and de-icing salts.
  • Excellent adhesion to steel and sound prepared concrete and masonry substrates.
  • Non-hazardous and ideally suited for application in confined spaces.
  • Can be applied to damp substrates.
  • Water based product free from hazardous solvents making it suitable for use in confined spaces.
  • Non-toxic when cured.

Cementfill-FC

Cementfill-FC is a single component, thixotropic, polymer modified, cementitious repair mortar with high adhesive properties. It incorporates the most advanced microsilica, polymer and fibre technology, curing to provide high waterproofing properties, excellent protection from acid gases, chlorides and freeze / thaw cycles as well as enhanced chemical resistance.

Typical uses:

Cementfill-FC is a fully waterproof, engineering quality fairing coat for filling minor blow holes and defects, and for repairing surface cavities and honeycombed concrete. Thin screed applications can be used to waterproof and / or level both vertical and horizontal concrete surfaces.

ADVANTAGES

  • Dense matrix offers low permeability to water, even at 10 bar pressure.
  • Incorporates the latest proven cement chemistry, microsilica, fibre and styrene acrylic copolymer technology.
  • Pre-packaged material requiring mixing with clean water on-site to give an adhesive mortar which can be rapidly applied in vertical, horizontal and overhead situations.
  • Economical mortar generally requiring no substrate or inter-layer priming. Part bags can be mixed.
  • Suitable for feather edging.
  • Non-toxic when cured.

Cementfill-HB

Description:

Cementfill-HB is a single component cementitious mortar which incorporates the most advanced cement chemistry, microsilica, fibre and styrene acrylic copolymer technology. This results in a rapid hardening, low density, high strength mortar with enhanced polymer properties. The thixotropic, shrinkage compensated nature of the product enables easy high build trowel applications.

Typical uses:

Cementfill-HB is waterproof mortar for the structural repair, rendering and profiling of vertical, horizontal and overhead surfaces. The product is also used to provide 'fillets' at internal corners prior to application of other RIW Limited membranes.

ADVANTAGES

  • Dense matrix offers low permeability to water, even at 10 bar pressure.
  • Incorporates the latest proven cement chemistry, microsilica, fibre and styrene acrylic copolymer technology.
  • Pre-packaged material requiring mixing with clean water on-site to give an easily trowellable mortar with maximum application thickness of 80mm in vertical, horizontal and overhead situations.
  • High bond strength exceeds the tensile strength of concrete, thus ensuring monolithic performance of the repair.
  • Improved tensile and impact strength.
  • Excellent low sag properties.
  • Economical mortar generally requiring no substrate or inter-layer priming. Part bags can be mixed.
  • Easily overcoated with other RIW membranes, to provide further protection.
  • Non-toxic when cured.

Cementjoint

Description:

Cementjoint is an advanced, elastomeric, highly tear resistant, breathable, waterproof composite tape.

Typical uses:

When embedded in the Cementseal or Cementflex materials, it gives a highly flexible, impermeable seal over 'live' cracks and expansion / construction joints.

ADVANTAGES

  • Impermeable: Impermeable to water under 10 bar hydrostatic pressure (100m head of water) yet allows the free passage of water vapour.
  • Flexible: Permanently elastomeric composite exhibiting over 600% elongation.
  • Easy to use: RIW Cementseal is used to install and joint the tape enabling rapid application.
  • Resistant: Good UV and weathering resistance and highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
