FREE Lunchtime Seminar Presented
by RIW Technical Experts
By:- Martin Radford, National
Sales & Marketing Manager ‘Waterproofing
at or Below Ground Level - Design Considerations &
Guidance’
The Architecture Centre, Bristol
Wednesday 18th October 2006
The objective of this free lunchtime Technical Seminar
is to help to give those attending a better knowledge
and understanding of the more common problems associated
with waterproofing today’s structures and how
to avoid them.
The technical presentation will
give an introduction to BS8102 (Code of Practice for
the protection of structures against water from the
ground) outlining the critical design considerations
that influence the form of construction and material
selection.
This will include guidance on
the most commonly used waterproofing materials, including
reference to strengths and weaknesses of the systems,
together with application methods and advice on surface
preparation.
Following this, there will be
a drop-in surgery session, where delegates will be welcome
to bring along project questions and drawings for consultation
with our technical advisors regarding waterproofing
issues.
Spaces are limited for this seminar
and will be allocated on a first come, first served
basis, so book now to avoid disappointment!
