Tilesafe is a new concept in waterproofing bathrooms and kitchens from RIW, leading manufacturer of quality structural waterproofing products.

Quick and easy to install, Tilesafe comprises a self-adhesive, cold applied, waterproof membrane consisting of a thick rubberised waterproof layer, incorporating a woven glass fibre grid on one side. It has been developed for use prior to the application of ceramic tiles. which are applied using a conventional adhesive which initially keys to the mesh. As it dries it forms a strong permanent bond through the mesh, directly onto the waterproofing layer.

Tilesafe provides absolute and long term waterproofing for bath, shower and other wet room tiled areas. It will protect plywood, plasterboard and screeds from water ingress, and provides a complete tanking system for all bathroom kitchen and shower areas. It is particularly suitable for use in hotels, wet area leisure facilities and domestic installations.

Being a dry applied product, Tilesafe has real advantages over wet trades products, which can be messy and often require a drying out period before further works can be undertaken. Tilesafe is different in that it allows immediate tiling following installation and is therefore suited to modular fast-track construction projects.
