2011 RIW MultiJoint fills the gap

RIW Ltd have introduced a high performance and versatile waterproof movement joint to complement the extensive range of RIW waterproof membranes and coatings.

RIW MultiJoint has been designed to waterproof and seal movement joints in Podium Decks, below ground Structures, Car Parks, Foot / Road Bridges, Stadiums, and sports Arenas, Shopping Malls, Airports, Roofs, and Building Facades.

RIW MultiJoint has a movement capability of up to 90% of the construction gap, and is chemically bonded to each structure, to create a 100% waterproofed movement joint.

RIW MultiJoint is manufactured from impermeable nitrogen blown, closed cell foam which is waterproof, resistant to salts, chemical attack and UV degradation and is therefore suitable for use in exposed exterior applications.

RIW MultiJoint can be easily adapted to directional changes in the joint which is simply carried out using heat welding. This is achieved by cutting the RIW MultiJoint to suit and placing the joint material ends against Teflon coated heating iron for 10 to 20 seconds. The ends are placed tightly together and fusion bonded, full strength is achieved shortly after once fully cooled.

RIW MultiJoint is available in a variety of widths to accommodate movement joints ranging from 10mm to 100mm wide.
