Raised Access Floor Waterproofing
Modern hi-tech buildings can contain a great deal of sensitive electrical equipment which needs protection from water intentionally introduced into the building, such as through water automatic sprinkler systems and via core areas incorporating toilets and showers. Whilst automatic sprinkler systems are invaluable as part of the fire protection system, the water they introduce can cause a great deal of damage to the sub-floor and the rooms below.
RIW Toughseal can be used for waterproofing floors when applied directly under a raised access floor to act as a containment system should this be required, to prevent the passage of water into rooms below. RIW Toughseal is compatible with all common epoxy adhesives used to adhere pedestals to the sub floor, which eliminates the necessity to puncture the containment membrane with mechanical fixings. RIW Toughseal used in floor waterproofing applications also acts as a good quality dust sealer and provides an impact resistant floor finish under a raised access floor.
