Water penetration through ceramic tiles in bath/shower rooms, kitchens and other wet areas caused by commissioning leaks, floods, substrate movement and grout failure can lead to extensive consequential costs and much inconvenience to all those parties involved.
Contemporary design of apartments, accommodation, healthcare & domestic designs are incorporating wet shower rooms, which require a watertight containment system to be installed behind the ceramic tiles.
RIW Tilesafe, a new concept in the waterproofing of wet areas, is the ideal watertight solution. It has been developed specifically for use with modular constructions products such as plywood, chipboard and plasterboard.
RIW Toughseal, a two-coat liquid applied epoxy coating is also suitable for use in wet areas, where structural concrete or masonry is used to form the structure. RIW Toughseal can be blinded with an aggregate to receive tiles, renders or plaster finishes.
