LAC® is a two coat cold applied bitumen based coating, which dries to a uniform gloss black finish, to provide both waterproofing and a barrier to radon. The coating is a solution of natural and petroleum bitumens in white spirit.
Waterproofing & Radon Barrier
LAC® is typically used on structures below ground level, and as a damp proof membrane to ground floors. LAC® can also be used on the superstructure, as a vapour barrier behind cladding systems / plaster finishes.
When designing Type A structures (as classified in BS8102:2009), the product applied correctly, is capable of providing the levels of protection required for Grades 1, 2 & 3 basements.
